Build: Short, and stocky for her frame; tall for a female Au Ra, but generally small as compared to other races. Exceptional musculature in arms and legs from a lifetime of hunting.

Distinguishing Marks: Pierced horns. Cuts and scars of varying sizes and depths across her fingers, palms, wrists, and forearms from leathercrafting.

Common Accessories: Typically wearing earrings with natural elements, like feathers, shell beads, etc. Additionally, usually has at least one leather accessory or item of clothing on, with colors and patterns reminiscent of the Steppe.

Since coming to Eorzea, she has attempted to learn to blend into the crowd, as Xaela in the west are less common and her traditional garb and appearance tend to draw negative attention. She can very often be seen in Eorzean-style clothing that is either mismatched, too large, or inappropriate for the given situation as she tries to learn and adjust.

Religion: Acknowledgement of Azim and Nhaama, not strictly devout.

Threat of constant war was one of the driving factors that led Kasumi to leave the Steppe. As such, she is generally skittish around open altercation, and will be wary of male Xaela at first simply due to her experiences.

This is an IC trait and part of her character - it is not, nor will it ever be, personal or against your character.

A handful of half-sisters she was cordial with, but not particularly close, one who left the clan. An unknown number of abandoned half-brothers.

Pets: Small, mint-green chocobo to assist with hunting endeavors, named after her son - though, she doesn't readily admit that information.

Roleplay Hooks

♦ Fresh Off the Boat - Kasumi is new to Eorzea, and has only been a resident for a few moons. She's scarcely traveled outside of Ul'dah, and is consistently left dazed and confused by Eorzean culture and the way she's treated by people who find her strange and foreign.

She's cut her hair, once worn long and wild on the Steppe, and tried to adopt a more Eorzean sense of fashion - very poorly. Often times she'll be caught wearing things mismatched, or badly fitted. Sometimes she could use a little assistance...

♦ Never Going Back - She hasn't met many Xaela in the west, but most of them show a desire to stay deeply connected to their roots, or even return to the Steppe one day. As it stands, she has no desire to go back, and is eager to adopt a more western lifestyle.

Could she be convinced to keep to her roots, or even assisted in taking to her new home?

♦ Master Craftsman - Kasumi was a near-master bow hunter and leatherworker for her clan. It afforded her time away from the pressures others laid on her shoulders, and an opportunity to contribute.
